In 1963, a warehouse company operating close to Bakırhan won a handling tender for a government institution. However, unable to acquire a mandatory bank guarantee letter, the company asked the assistance of Mehmet İhsan Akıncıgil.

Solving the problem efficiently, Mehmet İhsan Akıncıgil accepted the partnership offer from the company and made a sudden entrance into the logistics sector. This step resulted in establishing Turkey’s first cold-chain logistics fleet.

In 1980, the company became the third largest tax payer in Turkey and received an award by the Ministry of Finance in 1981.

In 1989 Akıncıgil Group of Companies left a partnership and decided to become an independent company which would operate under the companies Akın Nakliyat A.Ş and Petronak Taşımacılık.

Mehmet İhsan Akıncıgil used his experience in the logistics sector to found Aksun Tarım Company on 16 February 1994 to operate as a fresh fruit and vegetable exporter.

Mehmet İhsan Akıncıgil passed away in 2003 after which his daughter Neşe Söyleyen and son-in-law Can Söyleyen took over the management of the company.
